REVIEW: Infinity by Rachel Ward

Title: Infinity
Author: Rachel Ward
Series: Numbers
Series #: 3
Pages: 256
Rating: .5

Summary:

The mind-blowing conclusion to the chilling NUMBERS trilogy: Because everyone wants to live forever.

No matter what it takes, Sarah's desperate to escape from the numbers.

Always numbers. Sarah loves Adam, but can't bear the thought that every time he looks in her eyes, he can see her dying; can see her last day.

It's 2029. Two years since the Chaos. Sarah and Adam are struggling to survive. She knows he always envisioned them together "'til death do us part." But will a child come between them? The child she loves. The child he saved.

Little Mia was supposed to die that New Year's Day. The numbers don't lie. But somehow she changed her date. Mia's just a baby, oblivious to her special power. But ruthless people are hunting her down, determined to steal her secret.

Because everyone wants to live forever.

Selena's POV:
I read the first book a few years back, read the second book last year, and now, I finished the whole triology! But I didn't expect this book to be so good, honestly. The second was a bit disappointing compared to the first, but I really loved this book.

We left off with Sarah & Adam right  two years after the chaos, baby Mia and Sarah's brothers with them. They are struggling to live, to survive. The world is nothing right now, and no one can do nothing about it really.

But then we find that people are trying to take Adam's talent; his curse. Throughout this book, they struggle through the ups and downs no teenager should go through. They fight for their life, and is betrayed many times.

I don't realy wanna spoil it for any of you, so I'll stop now. But I have to say, this book was very good. I underesitmated it, and I was just WOWed by it. But I still love the first book. I will always love the first book no matter WHAT.

After I got done with this book, I just felt ... empty. Like, I didn't know what to do after. I know, I feel like that after every book, but this one was different. I just felt like I lost something and I didn't know how to get it back. It was a horrible feeling; I still feel it now!

Numbers was the first book I cried in, honestly. I think I was too attached to the characters. But after this? I just felt empty. Something wasn't right, and I didn't know how to fix it. I didn't WANT the book to end. I wanted something ELSE, but nothing came after the end :(

If you haven't read this book, you should! It's such a great book, and it's a really fast read too. So if you're looking for a quick, fast book to read, pick Numbers by Rachel Ward. I promise you won't be disappointed. ( :

REVIEW: Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

Title: Starcrossed
Author: Josephine Angelini
Series: Starcrossed
Series #: 1
Pages: 512
Rating:

Summary:

Helen Hamilton has spent her entire sixteen years trying to hide how different she is—now it's getting harder. She's having nightmares of a desperate desert journey, visions of three women weeping tears of blood. And why is she possessed by the sudden, unstoppable urge to kill the handsome new boy in school, Lucas Delos?
A love written in the stars . . .
A feud started in ancient Greece . . .
A curse not even the gods can break.

Selena's POV:
I felt really let down after I finished this book. I actually thought it was going to be really amazing and all, but it wasn't; not to me at least.

Helen is any normal girl you can find at school. She has a regular life like every regular kid. But she starts getting these really weird dreams, and doesn't know what or who they are about.

Then, once the new boy in school, Lucas, shows up in school, she starts getting this urge to kill him. She attacked him at school, but he fought against her. She doesn't know why she had the urge to kill him.

After that, Helen starts to seek to solve a mystery she never thought was possible for her. She starts to discover what she is, who she is, and how she became that way.

Overall, this book was okay. I just thought it was dragging too much, and that everything was a bit too cocky. If you love & adore this book, I totally respect that! Every bookieholic has different views on different books. ( :

I might read the next book, but it's a very small chance right now that I will read it.

REVIEW: Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake

Title: Anna Dressed in Blood
Author: Kendare Blake
Series: Anna Dressed in Blood
Series #: 1
Pages: 320
Rating:

Summary:

Cas Lowood has inherited an unusual vocation: He kills the dead.
So did his father before him, until he was gruesomely murdered by a ghost he sought to kill. Now, armed with his father's mysterious and deadly athame, Cas travels the country with his kitchen-witch mother and their spirit-sniffing cat. Together they follow legends and local lore, trying to keep up with the murderous dead—keeping pesky things like the future and friends at bay.
When they arrive in a new town in search of a ghost the locals call Anna Dressed in Blood, Cas doesn't expect anything outside of the ordinary: track, hunt, kill. What he finds instead is a girl entangled in curses and rage, a ghost like he's never faced before. She still wears the dress she wore on the day of her brutal murder in 1958: once white, now stained red and dripping with blood. Since her death, Anna has killed any and every person who has dared to step into the deserted Victorian she used to call home.
But she, for whatever reason, spares Cas's life.

Selena's POV:
To be honest, I loved this book. Absolutely LOVED it. No doubt about that. I heard some great things about this book, and decided to try it out, and in the end, I fell in love with it.

Cas kills the dead; easy enough. NO, it isn't. He has his father's athame that has something special to it that kills the dead, and brings it back to the place where the dead belong. So he moves to this town for his next kill. And locals call this ghost "Anna Dressed In Blood."

Now who WOULDN'T find that title interesting? Anna Dressed in Blood ...

So Cas goes to find this ghost and thinks that it will be another easy kill. But what he finds instead is a ghost that's VERY powerful, and nothing like he's faced before. Cas tries to discover Anna's past, and what happened the night she got murdered.

I'll tell you now, this book is VERY creepy. It is VERY creepy and scary. I don't like scary things, that is just me. But when I read this, I was scared, yet I wanted MORE. This book is full of twist and turns and everything in between. I did not see half the things that were coming in this book. I just love it.

If you haven't read this book yet, I strongly advise you to read it now. It's SO good, and you will love it just as much as I love it too. And you'll fall in love with the characters, especially Cas and Anna. ;)
