As I was watching
The Hunger Games World Premiere Red Carpet last night, and as I was blogging about the
City of Bones movie details, I was thinking to myself "
What other books are going to be movies?", and "
What books do I have to read BEFORE the movie comes out?". Well, you're in luck because I have some of the listed books down below that are going to be movies!
Now, when books become movies, I get a
bit excited (just kidding, I freak out all the time and always talk about it like I'm doing with
The Hunger Games). I get really excited because the characters that I
read are actually going to be on screen and
acted! Now that just makes me so happy! :)
I have posted many other movie news on this blog, though I have only blogged about
Beautiful Creatures,
The Host, and
City of Bones. Now, you get to see the OTHER books I've been excited for, but movie-wise, hasn't been moving very much.
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead:

This is the first series that made me fall in love with books. Why shouldn't I be excited for the movie?! Nothing has been happening much lately, though. No casting, no studio, no nothing. The Producer, Mike Preger (Preger Entertainment) is trying to look for a studio, and it isn't going very well.

I haven't read this book yet, though I have it on my bookshelf, waiting for me to touch it. But I've heard some really great things on this book! Nothing has really been happening with this movie, though it is still in development. The film rights are to Disney and Offspring.
Divergent by Veronica Roth:

This is such a great book, and I can tell why it's going to be made into a movie! I guess all the "horrible societies" get made into a movie (like Matched up there). But really, it's action packed, romance, and had everything! The films rights are to Summit Entertainment; Reg Wagon, a production company, is also signed to work on it; and Even Daugherty, screenwriter, wrote a screenplay for Divergent. No casting news has been released.
Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor:

This seems like a VERY good book! Not even kidding! I have it on my tablet, and I'm going to start it very soon. I haven't seen any real movie news on this, though I DO know that the movie is in Development. Movie rights are unknown at the time.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner:
When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls.
Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift.

To be honest, I have an urge to NOT read this book. It isn't that it's a bad book or anything, but that EVERYONE has read it. For example, my friends have all read this book and are saying that it's going to be a movie. Yet, when I SAY that a book is going to be a movie (I.e. City of Bones), they don't read it. It really frustrates me, though I can't really complain ....

Incarceron by Catherine Fisher:

I actually haven't heard of this book, though it does seem very good. All I know is that Taylor Lautner is going to be the lead roll in it! *Screams* The Film Rights are to Fox 2000.
Delirium by Lauren Oliver:

I've heard of this book, and I have it on my tablet. I'm going to read it very soon, as I hear it's a VERY good book! The Film Rights are with Fox 2000.
Pure by Julianna Baggott:
