Selena's POV:
I read the first book a few years back, read the second book last year, and now, I finished the whole triology! But I didn't expect this book to be so good, honestly. The second was a bit disappointing compared to the first, but I really loved this book.

We left off with Sarah & Adam right  two years after the chaos, baby Mia and Sarah's brothers with them. They are struggling to live, to survive. The world is nothing right now, and no one can do nothing about it really.

But then we find that people are trying to take Adam's talent; his curse. Throughout this book, they struggle through the ups and downs no teenager should go through. They fight for their life, and is betrayed many times.

I don't realy wanna spoil it for any of you, so I'll stop now. But I have to say, this book was very good. I underesitmated it, and I was just WOWed by it. But I still love the first book. I will always love the first book no matter WHAT.

After I got done with this book, I just felt ... empty. Like, I didn't know what to do after. I know, I feel like that after every book, but this one was different. I just felt like I lost something and I didn't know how to get it back. It was a horrible feeling; I still feel it now!

Numbers was the first book I cried in, honestly. I think I was too attached to the characters. But after this? I just felt empty. Something wasn't right, and I didn't know how to fix it. I didn't WANT the book to end. I wanted something ELSE, but nothing came after the end :(

If you haven't read this book, you should! It's such a great book, and it's a really fast read too. So if you're looking for a quick, fast book to read, pick Numbers by Rachel Ward. I promise you won't be disappointed. ( :

I've been waiting for this book for FOREVER! Bloodlines was a HUGE cliffhanger, and I couldn't wait for The Golden Lily.
We left Bloodlines with a very surprising ending. Sydney was almost killed by a Strigoi, but was saved by her blood. We found out something shocking about Jill and Adrian. And we said Hello to familiar faces. By the end of Bloodlines, we already knew that there was going to be BIG problems in The Golden Lily.


In The Golden Lily, you find Sydney going back to her alchemist rules, and that idea of reeducation. Though Sydney is getting comfortable with her Vampire friends, that idea keeps hovering over her head. I like Sydney. I like that she's totally different from Rose, and that Sydney actually thinks before she acts, always breaking down each step. But I think Sydney is too careful. I want to see Sydney break some rules (though she kind of already did) and be care free. I'm not giving up my hopes yet, as there are 4 other books to come!

In this book, I felt as if Adrian was getting over Rose much easier, and that he looks forward to the future, and not the past. I also felt that Adrian liked a certain someone .. (: At the end of the book, it was revealed that he DID have some feelings for someone, and it broke my heart of what actually went down. But I feel like Adrian is someone else. But I think it's just how the narrator looks at him. I don't know ...

But I have to admit ... Please don't hate me ... But ... I feel myself keeping a distance from Adrian. I mean, he's a great guy, yes, but ... he's just getting in the way, and I don't like it. It's not exactly annoying, but he's just in the way. Let's just leave it to that. But I don't know why I feel like that ... Help?! :/

We also met some new people and some familiar faces. I can't say who, but boy was I happy!

Overall, I thought the book was great! But not as good as I thought it would be. There was some surprising parts, yes, but just not enough to make me fall in love. I'm thinking that book #3 (The Indigo Spell), will be the turning part and THAT will be the part where the series gets intense. That's how I felt with Vampire Academy, and I think Richelle Mead will do the same with the Bloodlines series. But I have to admit, it was much better than Bloodlines.

When I was reading The Golden Lily, I decided to start something new, and it worked out PERFECTLY. I thought I could use post-it notes and mark all my favorite parts in the book. And here's how it turned out:

Anyways, I thought this book was MUCH BETTER than City of Fallen Angels. I just felt that Cassandra Clare focused more on Clary & Jace rather that Simon. I mean, Simon was in the book, yes, but not as much as the last book, and I liked that. I also liked that Cassandra switched off for point-of-views. I really liked seeing through different character's eyes here and then. 


I felt that Clary has grown SO MUCH from the last book, and the whole series in general, and I LIKE THAT! But at some parts, I just wanted to PUNCH her in the face! The decisions she made? Oh jeez. Don't get me started on THAT! 


The ending was INTENSE! I LOVED it SO MUCH that I started crying because I was depressed and because they were tears of joy! I liked how Cassandra ended it, thought the epilogue was long and I LOVED IT! :D

REVIEW: Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi

This was a really interesting book to read. Really! It was such in a different format, that by the end of Chapter 1, which was at page 6 (I think), I already loved the book! The society in which the characters live in is so creative, it's nothing I've never read. 


I like Juliette, really. She's strong; she knows what she's fighting for. Yet again, I feel bad for her. Her parents gave her up with a snap of their fingers, not caring that their child was being taken away from them. I though that was sad :( Juliette can't touch anyone. Like, NO ONE. If she does, the person she touches dies. That's why she locked up in a cell far away from the world. But when Juliette has a new roommate in her cell, things heat up ... like, a lot! She knows her new roommate, but her new roommate doesn't "know" her. *Roll eyes* Yeah, that's a joke ;)


Now moving onto Adam. Dreamy, amazing Adam. What can I say? He's one out of my thousands of fictional boyfriends! :D He's so sweet. He respects you, and cares for you, and VERY protective. He's big on family and safety. He's such a dream boyfriend!!


For some reason, I thought that the relationship between Adam & Juliette was kinda weird. They talk about their past, but they suddenly "fell in love" in like, a month. Yeah, I know that they knew each other when they were little and stuff, but still. I didn't like how they just fell in love so fast. I felt like they were in a relationship without even knowing each other! But that's just me, I guess ...


Over all, I really loved the book! It was such in a different format, and I loved that! :D

This was probably my favorite book out of the whole saga. It had lots of action in it, and was just really entertaining! I really liked how it was from Zach's, Kieren's, and Miranda's perspective rather than Quince's view. It was a whole different take on it, and it was so cool! Though you still got to see lots of Quince!


Zach, the "slipped" angel, is trying to get back to his love - Miranda - up in Heaven, while Kieren is trying to work out everything with Quince. Soon enough, Miranda realizes her best friend - Lucy - has gone into a New England Boarding School, and calls for help. Zach & Kieren, as told, go into the boarding school, but find themselves trapped in it. From there, everything get's WAY INTENSE!


I felt like Cynthia did such a great job on this! I thought the book was creepy, yet, in a really good way! It kinda creeped me out, and I kinda got scared (I admit). I really enjoyed all the challenges the characters went through. Though I have to say, LOTS of people die, which is kind of depressing :(


The only thing that bothered me is the ending. I felt like it should have been a bit longer. I wanted the ending more detailed with Miranda & Zach, and Quince & Kieren. I felt like Cynthia should have showed more of the couples together. You know what I mean?


Over all, I LOVED the book! Put this series on your TBR (To-be-read) shelf! You won't regret it!

The Hunger Games Movie Review

This was really a great movie, honestly. I really liked it ... A LOT! Though I couldn't give it five stars. As always, I think the books are better than movies, but some people don't, and that's fine! First of all, I want to point out the parts I cried at.

Parts Selena Cried At:

1. When the "Lions Gate" logo came on.

-Okay, honestly? I was really excited! I couldn't believe I was actually sitting in a theater, watching the movie ... So I cried. ;)

2.When Prim screamed at the beginning at the movie, and Katniss and Prim started singing.

-I thought this was SO CUTE! Such a cute bond. And I also cried because it was still the beginning of the movie ;)

3. When Katniss Volunteered at the reaping. 

-Okay, to be honest, I saw this on the previews SO MANY TIMES that I thought I wasn't going to cry. But then, when the scene happened, I just balled my eyes out. I don't know why! It was just so sad and brave of Katniss to take Prim's place (:

4. When Katniss was saying goodbye to her mother, and told her not to cry.

-Katniss expects me NOT to cry when she says NOT to cry? Crazy girl ....

5. When Peeta was crying in the car with Effie and Katniss.

-AHH! Peeta crying? HOT! That's why I was crying ;)

THENNN after that, my aunt told me to shut up or I was going to get kicked out. First of all, I thought she was joking. THEN I looked over at the doorway and saw a man standing there. That's when I finally stopped crying(: But then I cried again when Rue died. SAD! But if I had to choose, the Reaping was probably when I cried the most.

Now here are the things that bothered me .... a lot:

1. The mocking jay pin - First of all, THEY CUT OUT MADGE! Madge was the WHOLE reason WHY the pin is SO important in the other books. That just made me mad.

2. Katniss didn't get dehydrated in the arena. That made me mad because in the movie, she looked like she didn't even SUFFER! In the book, Katniss had a hard time, and I wanted that to show in the move. 

3. Katniss didn't yell Peeta's name when the announced that people from the same district can win if they're both alive. I mean, really? That was kinda the whole part of showing how she faked everything ....

4. Katniss and Rue HARDLY talked! They were suppose to talk about their Districts, and how District 11 is worst than 12! Grrr ....

5. The Cornucopia. Don't even get me started on what was all wrong with it. It looked like .... Nothing!

6. THEY DIDN'T EAT THE BERRYS! They were suppose to at the end, and then spit it out! But NOOO! The didn't even get to number 3.

7. The dogs? God Dammit. THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE THE COLOR OF THE EYES OF ALL OF THE TRIBUTES! They didn't even look ANYTHING like I pictured them.

8. Peeta didn't take his shirt off. Disappointment ...

9. The cave scene? Could have extended MUCH longer. And the syrupy? They didn't even show that! THAT part I was looking forward to!

10. When Clove died? No .... NO NO NO NO NOOOOO! It wasn't suppose to be like that!! She should've died worst. Even though I'm Team Clove all the way, I still thought how she died should've been more.

Things I actually enjoyed in the movie:

1. When Haymitch sent Katniss the note; "You call that a kiss?" HAHAHAA!

2. Jennifer Lawrence is AMAZING! So freaking happy she got the role. She is Katniss no doubt about it!

3. I though Cinna was cool. Peeta was hot. Effie was amazing. And Haymitch should have been more drunk ;)

4. The showed the districts ACTUALLY rebelling. Now THAT'S a big part in the next movies ... (:

5. When the cannon blew and Katniss started yelling Peeta's name. She then ran into him and yelled "God Dammit Peeta! You scared me!" and then hugged him! I thought that was cuteee <33

6. When the dogs/mutt things came to attack them. You knew they were coming ... but at the same time ... you didn't. That's the part that made me jump and I LOVED IT!

So it's really half and half, honestly. It's easier to point out the things that weren't right. Overall, you should go see the movie! :D It's amazing, and so much action, too! A good date movie, really. Some romance but with action ;)

Oh, and another thing. The soundtrack? 3/12 (how many songs there are on the soundtrack ... whatever.) only  3 songs played ... really. That made me MAD! I was looking forward to MORE songs! Isn't that why they have a soundtrack?!

Selena's POV:

*Sigh* This was probably the first book that made me fall in love with faeries! This is SUCH an amazing book! Though people don't think so, and I kinda know why ...

Aislinn is a tough girl, and really confident in herself. She knows the rules and plays by the rules ... until they're broken. I really like her due to the fact that she's an outsider who has this sight in which she can see faeries. Keenan is such a sweetheart! Though he can turn his back on you with a snap of his fingers! He's dangerous, so be cautious ... (: Seth is like, the PREFECT boyfriend in all of the WORLD! If you've read this book, you know what I'm talking about *wink*. He's just SO sweet and a down to earth kind of guy. He's protective over Aislinn, and I think that's cute ;)

In Wicked Lovely, Keenan is trying to find a Summer Queen due to that the Winter Queen, which, unfortunately, is Keenan's Mother, is spreading cold over fairyland. With a Summer Queen, Keenan can gain the power to defeat the cold his mother is spreading. Oh, and for every girl Keenan seduces into loving him and who ultimately is not the Summer Queen, an eternal life of coldness is reward, with only a wolf for a companion. Geez! Pretty tough, huh?

Aislinn is the next on Keenan's list, and she isn't happy about it. She has other things on her mind, like not going into the fairy world, and spending time with her best friend Seth. Seth .... *Sighs*. Seth and Aislinn have a very good relationship together, though they are falling a bit for each other. But Aislinn values her relationship with Seth too much that she doesn't want to go any farther than friends. But Seth is a COMPLETE flirt, which doesn't really work out well! Kind of like Keenan in a way, but not a Summer King.

I don't like love triangles, but I do like love triangles, which is a bit weird. It keeps the story VERY interesting, but makes me sad because one out of the three people have to get hurt. But the thing about this is that Keenan is in love with someone else; Donia. I feel bad for her due to that she has to watch Keenan fall in love with other girls when she is in love with him.

Though things didn't seem really balanced in the beginning ... the start of the book was a bit confusing for me. And, although I love Seth, he just seemed too picture-perfect. I mean, no one can really live that way the way he forgives people so easily and doesn't really have any flaws.

Now I can't really reveal too much for you guys. That is what reading if for! *Cheers* (:

I recommend this book for you guys to read. You'll LOVE it! I haven't read the rest of the series but I'm really looking forward to it. I can remember laying in bed for hours after I finished the book. I was too depressed to go to sleep! I wanted to find out what happened next :)
