REVIEW: Diabolical by Cynthia Leitich Smith

Title: Diabolical
Author: Cynthia Leitich Smith
Pages: 368
Series: Tantalize
Series #: 4

Rating:  .5

Summary:
When "slipped" angel Zachary and his werewolf pal, Kieren, arrive under suspicious circumstances to a mysterious New England boarding school, they quickly find themselves in a hellish lockdown with an intriguing assortment of secretive, hand-picked students. Plagued by demon dogs, hallucinatory wall d├ęcor, a sadistic instructor, and a legendary fire-breathing monster, will they somehow manage to escape? Or will the devil have his due? Best-selling author Cynthia Leitich Smith unites heroes from the previous three novels in the Tantalize Series - including Zachary's girl, Miranda, and Kieren's love, Quincie - along with a fascinating cast of all-new characters for a suspenseful, action-packed clash between the forces of heaven and hell.

Selena's POV:
This was probably my favorite book out of the whole saga. It had lots of action in it, and was just really entertaining! I really liked how it was from Zach's, Kieren's, and Miranda's perspective rather than Quince's view. It was a whole different take on it, and it was so cool! Though you still got to see lots of Quince!

Zach, the "slipped" angel, is trying to get back to his love - Miranda - up in Heaven, while Kieren is trying to work out everything with Quince. Soon enough, Miranda realizes her best friend - Lucy - has gone into a New England Boarding School, and calls for help. Zach & Kieren, as told, go into the boarding school, but find themselves trapped in it. From there, everything get's WAY INTENSE!

I felt like Cynthia did such a great job on this! I thought the book was creepy, yet, in a really good way! It kinda creeped me out, and I kinda got scared (I admit). I really enjoyed all the challenges the characters went through. Though I have to say, LOTS of people die, which is kind of depressing :(

The only thing that bothered me is the ending. I felt like it should have been a bit longer. I wanted the ending more detailed with Miranda & Zach, and Quince & Kieren. I felt like Cynthia should have showed more of the couples together. You know what I mean?

Over all, I LOVED the book! Put this series on your TBR (To-be-read) shelf! You won't regret it!
