Summary:
Luce would die for Daniel.
And she has. Over and over again. Throughout time, Luce and Daniel have found each other, only to be painfully torn apart: Luce dead, Daniel left broken and alone. But perhaps it doesn’t need to be that way. . . .
Luce is certain that something—or someone—in a past life can help her in her present one. So she begins the most important journey of this lifetime . . . going back eternities to witness firsthand her romances with Daniel . . . and finally unlock the key to making their love last.
Cam and the legions of angels and Outcasts are desperate to catch Luce, but none are as frantic as Daniel. He chases Luce through their shared pasts, terrified of what might happen if she rewrites history.
Because their romance for the ages could go up in flames . . . forever.
Sweeping across centuries, Passion is the third novel in the unforgettably epic Fallen series.
Selena's POV:
Honestly, this book has been on my to-read-list for a LONG time, and I was kind of disappointed in it. I felt that Torment, the second book in the series, left a big cliff hanger, and I wanted to get my hands on Passion ASAP! Though I didn't feel like there was anything to it.
First of all, Luce goes back into time and tries to figure out her love for Daniel, and see if it's real or if it's due to the spell. And, of course, Daniel goes and finds her through time before she changes the past, and ruins the future. I love Luce, honestly. She's kind of like me, but at the same time, isn't. But ...
WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU GO BACK IN TIME WHEN YOUR BOYFRIEND TOLD YOU NOT TO?!
I honestly felt that that was the a very stupid choice of Luce to do. And halfway into the book, I thought to myself, "Why is she traveling back in time again?". I was so confused. I mean, she didn't have to go through all that trouble. She even said herself that she didn't know why she was in the past (well, kinda). It was very confusing and tiring.
I also got confused when in each lifetime she died. SORRY, SPOILER ALERT! DON'T GO ANY FURTHER IF YOU DON'T WANT ANY SPOILERS!
Past Luce kissed past Daniel, and she didn't die. But in another lifetime, past Daniel didn't even touch Luce, and she died. WHAT?! Sorry, I haven't read this series for about a year, and forgot most things. But what did Daniel say Luce about how she died in each lifetime? I thought it was only just that one kiss that would kiss Luce. I'm very confused ...
Overall, I felt myself dragging to read this book. It got good at some parts, but then went down hill again. I was like, "Ugh, NOT AGAIN!". But Ms. Kate did a good job, and I plan on reading Rapture, the final book in the Fallen Series. This isn't my favorite book in the series so far. I mean, I'm thinking Rapture will be, but then again, I have some doubts. If you do want to read this series sometime in your life, I warn you, I didn't really enjoy some parts.
Now, I want to hear YOUR thoughts on this book if you've read it. Did you like it? Was it OKAY? Comment on this blog post and tell me your thoughts! :)
