REVIEW: "Last Sacrifice" by Richelle Mead
Author: Richelle Mead
Series: Vampire Academy
Series #: 6
Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules. She broke the law when she ran away from St. Valdimir's Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous, off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader o the Moroi World, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of dhampir guardians to come.
Now the law had finally caught up with Rose - for a crime she didn't even commit. She's in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She'll nee help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.
But the clock on Rose's life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back ... and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your whole life is about saving others, who will save you?
This book was epic, period. I was SO happy that Richelle Mead made this book 594 pages! I ate this book up in a night!
First of all, the series was amazing from the start, and I was kinda sad to see the characters go. I mean, they have progressed throughout the series SO much, growing into something bigger. In a month of when I read the series, a year has gone by in the books timeline, and I couldn't believe that! That was too fast ...
Rose is tough, but when things switch on her, she doesn't know what to do. That's what her friend's are for(: SPOILER: They help Rose break out & find the OTHER Dragomir in a life or death matter. Technically, Dimitri, Rose, and Sydney go on a crazy adventure to find the second-to-last Dragomir, running into many problems along the way, which, I tell you, is EPIC! (though I don't want to give too much away).
This book was never boring, and always had action in it! I loved all the things Richelle included in this book that made me MORE hyped up about it! Her ending of this book couldn't be any better!
Like I said before, I was kinda sad about the characters leaving. I mean, it's hard to end a series that you're amazingly attached to for SO LONG! Though I was happy too because I could see characters here in this book in Bloodlines (the VA Spin-off Series) in Sydney's point of view. It's very cool, though I do miss Rose very, very, VERY much.
Overall, I REALLY loved this book, and is probably my favorite book EVER (expect for Clockwork Prince). If you haven't read this book, then you don't know what reading is! Just kidding! Though you should really, really, REALLY read this book!
Richelle Mead made my life better by 110% by writing this series <33
