REVIEW: "Wings Of The Wicked" by Courtney Allison Moulton

Title: Wings of The Wicked
Author: Courtney Allison Moulton
Pages: 528
Series: Angelfire
Series #: 2
Rating:  .99999

Summary:

Life as the Preliator is harder than Ellie ever imagined.
Balancing real life with the responsibility of being Heaven's warrior is a challenge for Ellie. Her relationship with Will has become all business, though they both long for each other. And now that the secret of who she really is has come out, so have Hell's strongest reapers. Grown bold and more vicious, the demonic threaten her in the light of day and stalk her in the night.
She's been warned.

Cadan, a demonic reaper, comes to her with information about Bastian's new plan to destroy Ellie's soul and use an ancient relic to wake all the souls of the damned and unleash them upon humanity. As she fights to stay ahead of Bastian's schemes, the revelations about those closest to her awaken a dark power within Ellie that threatens to destroy everything—including herself.

She'll be betrayed.
Treachery comes even from those whom she loves, and Ellie is broken by the deaths of those who stood beside her in this Heavenly war. Still, she must find a way to save the world, herself, and her love for Will. If she fails, there will be Hell to pay.

Selena's POV:
Ugh! You don't know how much I love this series! The first book, Angelfire, got me from page 30! Just the whole back story and history of the book is SO interesting! I just love it!

Ellie - Archangel Gabriel - is being hunted. People want her dead. She's an important key to something (that something I can't tell you). From the start, she caught my eye and I LOVED her! She came off very strong and such a brave person.

From the last book, Ellie figured out that she was an angel, and was an important one too. She was bound to earth to protect and kill off the reapers. But as she keeps finding out more of the history she couldn't remember, things get more complicated, though she gets more of her powers back. Will, her guardian for 600 years now (who is amazing hot, btw), is trying to get Ellie through everything she's going through ... like getting hunted down, for example.

Though Ellie's and Will's relationship is MUCH more than sworn to protect each other; they're gone much father than friends, too. Will helps and tries to protect Ellie as much as he can, due to the fact that reapers can attack anytime, anywhere. But Will! *Sighs* He's just too amazing and sweet to go through what he's going through, as Ellie notices also throughout the book.

Now, as you can see, I rated this book 4.9999. Why? Well, for several reasons: First, I felt like Ellie was changing too much. One moment, she'll be happy, and the next, she'll kill anything in her way. She's mad, then happy, then sad, then mad again. It was just too weird for me. I felt like she was a different girl from the last time I read about her. Second, I felt like the ending was dragging, and that SOMETHING was about to happen. You could just tell, really. I just wanted to end the book, and it was JUST too long for me to handle. Courtney should have put something else in the end to make it more interesting, rather than plain and predicable.

Overall, I LOVED the book! I love it from the start to the end (though it does have some things to it ...). I really recommend you to read it! Such an amazing and great book :)
